What steps are you taking to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 outbreak?
Safety of our employees and guests has always been a priority. In response to COVID-19, we have implemented the following procedures to keep everyone healthy:
- All games are now private, so you’ll only be playing with your own group.
- Masks will be required for unvaccinated players and staff.
- Air purifiers are used in each game.
- Procedures and game schedule has been altered to help ensure social distancing.
How much does it cost to play?
Just $30 per person. Group rates are available for 12 or more players.
Will we really be locked in?
No. Our games do not require the door to be physically locked. You will still need to unravel the mystery to make your escape!
Can my group get the room all to ourselves?
All games are now private games. Once a booking is made, it will block out all the rest of the seats in the game.
Can I do the same room twice?
Because the puzzles will not change, you may only do each room once. Otherwise, you would ruin the experience of any participant playing the room for the first time.
Will you ever change the puzzles so we can play again?
We hope to refresh the rooms periodically and present a new set of challenges. The schedule of such updates is yet to be determined. We also plan to expand and create additional rooms in the future for you to enjoy.
What time should we arrive?
You should arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to your game time to receive instructions.
What if my group is late?
Groups that arrive late forfeit their booking without refund. In some cases, your group may be able to start late or switch to an open room, but this is not guaranteed.
What if my group is early?
The doors may be locked if you arrive more than 30 minutes prior to your game time. If that is the case, we are simply busy administering the game before yours, and will open them up for you shortly.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 72 hours are eligible for a full refund. No refunds if cancelled within those 72 hours.
Group events that book 2 or more rooms require one week notice, and are eligible only for credit towards a future booking.
Can we have more than 8 participants in the room?
Pilfered Playbook has 2 identical rooms, each designed for up to 5 players. The other games are designed for up to 8 players. We have had one or two more players in each room, upon request.
Why can’t I book online for today?
Depending on the bookings we receive, we may close off registrations for the current or following day for staffing reasons. If you are interested in a same-day booking, you can call us. If we have rooms and staff available, we can get you in.
How old do you have to be to play?
Kids as young as 8 can participate and enjoy the game with adult supervision. Young eyes often see and process things differently than we do. Your group should primarily be high-school age or older.
Participants must be at least 8 years old to use the VR systems. The manufacturers recommendation is 13 years or older.
Can I bring my margarita from the bar with me?
Food and drinks are not allowed in the game rooms. We also reserve the right to deny entry by anyone who is intoxicated.
What if I have to use the restroom before we’ve escaped?
While you can leave the room at any time, the clock will not stop. There are restrooms in the Landmark Center, and you are encouraged to use them before you arrive.
Why don’t you charge a “convenience fee” like we’ve seen at other escape games?
Because we’d rather let you know upfront the price of your experience, and not irritate you during checkout.
